My niece is getting married this summer and her Truckee venue just fell through, so she has moved her wedding to Zephyr Lodge at Northstar. We have never stayed at Northstar and wouldn't consider it to be a summer destination, but now we need to find a place to stay there for two nights, with five adults in four separate beds. Does anyone have any recommendations? The wedding is high atop the mountain and the only way up is via the gondola. It looks like Northstar Village has a number of lodges, but I have no experience with any of them.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Well, you might try the Ritz Carlton Northstar or the Hyatt Northstar (which is located in the Northstar Villages). Both are going to be pricey. And most likely you'll need more than one unit. Maybe two 2-BR units? It is a nice area and is definitely up$cale.

I've stayed at the Hyatt Northstar when it was badged as Welk and it was nice.

But if your budget is not that high, there are a lot of other lodgings within 20 or 30 minutes of the venue.
