hello all,

I am a current owner of two Vegas properties that are in the RCI points sytsems. I bought both resale. I love the flexibility of points and have gotten good use out of them.

Now I am specifically interested in purchasing a timeshare in New Orleans. I am considering the Wyndham La Belle maison bc it is a points property. I see this property on resale but the points values are really low and wouldnt even get a week for me at the resort. Should I just buy a smaller package to get my foot in the door at this resort? I am interested in the high demand months like Jazz fest and Mardi Gras so I think I need this as my home resort.

I would be interested in other NOLA resorts but I can't seem to find La Pension or Charter House on resale. Any tips?

Thanks!

not Charter House..its The Quarter House

Id pass on the small La belle Maison points contracts . As an add on to your existing ownership perhaps, But to do what you want to do, it wont work. and I think you are right, to be sure about Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras, la Belle Maison should be your home resort

Keep watching ebay You will see La Belle Maison and other NOLA resorts from time to time...there are in fact 2 Avenue Plaza weeks for sale there now. Also there are several for sale in the Tug Market place...Be careful with the ebay ads. For example there is one there now advertised as a one bedroom , its actually a studio. And one sold last week advertised as a Mardi Gras Week...its not. .

Most of these resorts sold special event weeks, weeks 8 and 9 (Mardi Gras), week 17 and 18, (jazz Fest), and week 52, (Sugar Bowl.)...No matter when these events fall on the calendar the event weeks owners are guaranteed a reservation. So if you want a reservation for one of these events Wyndham points at La belle Maison is your best shot, unless you can find one of the special event weeks for sale. A week 52 sold last week on ebay and I got a week 9 recently

Club la Pension just imposed a $1580 special assessment and the place is closed until next Feb. so be sure if you bid on one of these, that the seller has paid their SA.

I could go on all day about NOLA resorts, If you have any specific questions send me a pm, I might know the answer...
