Hello, I have a week in Kona in late May, early June. I'd like to add 3-4 nights in Maui. What is the best way to rent points for 3-4 nights? It seems like this far out everything is for a full week.

I can‘t seem to find any exchanges. Is there a site that specializes in people that want to rent their points TS for short stays?

Which point system ?
For Marriott I've successfully used https://vacationpointexchange.com/ to rent points.

3-4nts can be difficult. Condo rentals will likely charge extra cleaning fees and availability for Timeshares will be limited - as you've found out.

We've faced this a few times wanting to maximise our stay by a few extra days. We've stayed at the (Best Western) Pioneer Inn in Lahaina and would happily stay again.

Good hunting.

I looked at that one. Is it close to a beach?

The Best Western Pioneer Inn should be fun. The Pioneer Inn is one of the oldest properties in town. But there really are no beaches in Lahaina. It is on the water. Closest beaches would be in Kaanapali I think.

Baby beach would be way closer than Kaanapali. 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. Parking is on Ala Moana. I've never stayed at the BW but we drove to Baby Beach from WKORV a few times when our kids were small, as its very calm.

Thanks. Not all that familiar with that end of the island. We mostly go up to Kaanapali and Lahaina to shop and eat. :D Haven't stayed up there for years.

No worries at all, just thought I'd add. Its not a very long beach, mostly fronted by private homes (which in my experience meant it wasn't busy).

I'd look at an Airbnb rental if you want a few nights.

Thanks everyone. I found a verified seller on the vacation points exchange site. Was able to close a deal for a 1 BR Ocean View at the Marriott Maui for about a third of the Marriott website and half of Priceline room.

You can put in a request here: https://vacationpointexchange.com. Be specific you are asking them to make a reservation with points (some ads contain this info). You will likely pay a premium over straight point transfer, but likely still less than a cash stay.

LOL, Cash. I was looking for advice on the best way to work with owners to rent their points. The vacation point exchange worked for me. Are there others out there?
