Are there lock-out units in operation at the Horizions by Marriott in Orlando? If so is there a link to the floorplan any place? I loohed on Vacationclub.com, but they only showed a non-lock-off 2 bedroom.

Thanks

The Marriott Sticky/FAQ says that there are lock-offs

This is a surprise to me because I thought Horizons in Orlando does not have lock-offs.

PS I called to satisfy my own curiosity. The desk told me that the new building will be ready in mid Feb. and that there are indeed lock-off units in that building.

Only a portion of the new villas

will be lock offs in the new buildings. We were given the # when we were there in Oct. 05 but I didn't write it down.

i believe that marriott put lockouts into horizons was because if you traded a 1 berm or a lockout into horizon they had to give you a 2bdrm. so people like myself have traded my lockout off a 3 beroom and had a two 2bdrms at horizon. i was wondering how long it would take then to figure that out

I think the reason that they built lock offs is because they sell for quite a bit more than non-lock offs at a marginal cost difference to build.

HEY Big Matt,
i would tend to disagree with you just because Horizons is a family resort and i would think it would be difficult for a family in a lockout, even a single parent in a lockout. now a 1 bdrm may be the reason. but i do agree that it costs them almost nothing more to make a 2 bdrm into a lock out :D

The lock out option is also a strong selling point. One that they try to tell you is "for today only!". We heard that at a Grande Vista presentation a few years back.
