It's usually been said that Marriott has more timeshare locations than most of the other hotel branded clubs.
We're planning on doing an owner update at our next Vistana stay in April. This week thinking about possible sales
talking points for Marriott's upcoming integration plan, I wanted to map if there really were more
Marriott TS locations than compared to a combination of the other branded TS systems that I own
(Vistana, Hyatt & Hilton). The attached spreadsheet has my compiled timeshare resort sites for Marriott, Vistana, Hyatt and Hilton. Marriott Pulse and Hilton Club locations are not included as they special clubs within clubs.

My comparison doesn't mean equivalent unit availability or it's easy to get an exchange. I know it's been very difficult to get a reservation exchange at particular resort locations if you're not an owner at those resorts, e.g. Westin St John.

Based on resort locations alone, there are only a few locations in the US that are unique to Marriott. Vistana + Hilton locations overlap with the majority of Marriott US locations. If Marriott left star options in place, IMO there's not much to entice multiple system owners to spend significant $ to join a new Marriott club. YMMV depending upon your home resorts. What I think Marriott will be selling is re-packaged priority booking access or availability of desirable weeks or periods. Resort variety costs.

A couple of clarifications...first, while Hilton Club is in some respects a "club within a club" due to more restrictive booking windows for regular HGVC owners, that is not the case with Marriott Pulse. The Pulse locations are 100% open to all MVC owners as locations within the MVC system with the same booking windows, rules, etc. The Pulse designation is simply to highlight that these locations have more urban suite/guest-room amenities and unit types rather than typical resort-style condo accommodations.

A second point is that while the systems may cover most of the same areas, some systems have more units/resorts in a given area than others. For example Marriott has eight Hilton Head resorts, but Hilton Grand Vacations has only one. Marriott has one location on Oahu (well outside Waikiki), but Hilton has multiple large Waikiki locations. Vistana and Marriott both have single Myrtle Beach locations, but Hilton has three. So if access to a specific location was important, it would be wise to also look at the size/strength of the systems' presence in any of those more important locations versus just looking at representation vs non-representation.

Oh okay, I didn't know that about Pulse locations. I'll go back and look to see if there are additional unique geographical locations for the Pulse ones.

I tried to indicate the number of resorts in a given area, by (1)x, 2x, 3x and Multiple values. Also has differences in highlight color intensity. Yes if you're really interested in visiting a certain area, it it is a plus that there are multiple resorts to choose from, which may persuade a person to purchase in a particular timeshare system. Or if it is cost effective, to purchase a home resort unit in the locale you like.
