Just came back from a great weekend in Las Vegas at the HGVC Flamingo property. As we checked out we asked the Bellman to call us a cab...he went around the corner, returiing with a nice Limo who offered to take my wife and I to the airport for a flat rate of $20. My wife got in the Limo and the driver and I put the luggage in the trunk... at that point I gave him the $20 because my wife and I were getting out at different terminal entrances... So I get out and check in for my flight and get a call from my wife who told me that the driver told her that he hadn't been paid...so she paid him again.
I called the HGVC Flamingo and talked with the GM to advise her of the situation so that the Bellman wouldn't use this guy again on another unsuspecting HGVC member...I told her that I thought the Bellman might know the driver..at which point she got my niumber and told me that she would talk to the Bellman. 15 minutes later I get a call from the GM who told me that she had my $20 and would mail a check to me since she didn't want to send cash through the mail. She said that the Bellman called the limo driver and told him that he had double charged us...the driver said that he "forgot" tjat he had been paid (right) and returned the money...and was banned from doing business at the property.
I told the GM to put the money into an employee fund to reward the employees for their professional approach to handling the problem... I paid my wife back. Thought you guys would like to know about how the Club handled this.
