Limited availability to use AC

I had realized there are very limited availability using the AC I got for depositing my 2012 Timberlodge week. In the past, I've been able to see 2 bedrooms or Hawaii weeks within the Flex change period (we stayed at the Westin on Kauai with an AC in the past). Not sure if II changed the rules or the AC I got this time is just more restricted, but I am seeing very limited availability when searching with this year's AC. I can see 2 bedroom units or better locations with a regular week, but cannot see those with an AC. Seems like the grid still applies even within Flex change period.

Will I have a better chance if I put in an exchange request with the AC?

You might try to put in an exchange request but I don't think it will make much of a difference. My advice is to forget the AC (if you can), lock-off the Timberlodge an see what that does. AC's have become more restrictive and more expensive. Usually, they won't give you an AC unless you deposit the full unit so locking-off should give you the same thing without a lot of the expense and restrictions.

Yes, II no longer issues good AC's, their AC's are a joke and are now restricted to the grid, even during flex change - they are useless.

I love the AC and would glady take yours off your hands... :hi:

I was able to snag an August studio week at Surf Club in Aruba with mine. I was happy to trade a 2 Br for a studio to be able to go to a nice place.

I have one for my Plat MMC week. The grid drops at the 59 day mark, but id does not see all weeks available! I have not tried to call II to see what is going on. II's website is so flaky that it could just be bugs in the system.
