We just got this email (we are resale owners). It says "With HGVClub benefits that feature Club Member cruises and Elite Member luxury home rentals, there's no shortage of choices when booking your getaway. As a reminder, HGVClub Members now enjoy access to the same travel service providers as HGV Max Members, while maintaining the ClubPartner Perks benefits you already know and love"

Nothing that you didn't already have access to. It is just travel services like cruises and the like but those have always been there

They are pushing converting HGVC pts to cruises. {btw, it is almost like getting spam from HGVC}. I always delete immediately because almost always the best value is to use HGVC pts for HGVC stays.

do for us?

1) if you have owned for long enough that you are tired of the same-ol same-ol HGVC resorts and you don't use RCI, it notifies you that there are other options
2) it nudges you to use those other options which are undoubtedly a dramatically less-efficient use of yoru HGVC points and from which HGVC must get a very nice kickback should you choose to use them.
If you use HGVC pts to cruise or elsewhere, HGVC gets a kickback and also gets to rent out the week you didn't occupy, I guess. HGVC basically gets value out of your membership yet doesn't have to build a new resort to increase its inventory of weeks. seems like a win-win for them?
