My wife signed us up for a meeting with these people to give us "updated info on RCI". It was at a restaurant we like, so I agreed to go.
When we told the rep we owned a week, not points, he got up and disappeared for about 10 min. He seemed to have lost interest when he came back and just talked to us for the rest of the time, not really saying much about timeshares/points. We did get a little info during the hour plus though:

We were sent a letter in 2011 offering to convert us to points for free that we did not respond to. That could be true, but we don't remember receiving such a letter.
If we had converted, we would have had to "turn in our deed" for the points, but at no cost to us. This was supposedly a settlement of some sort.
If we had points, the upcoming termination provision would not apply to us.
We could "walk away from points any time we wanted".

I asked him what was in it for Leisure Getaways, but could not get an answer. I did notice that two other couples were told they had the right to rescind for six days, so LG was conducting some type of sales.

We were asked to sign that we had received the info, and that the free offer would not be available in the future, but we declined to sign anything.

SO what's up with LG? And how much of what we were told was true?

Thanx,
Ron

OK - I remembered to do a search here and got my answers - sorry for taking up the space... But I would still like to know if any of it was true.
