What is a Legacy week in the Marriot system?

Thank you! ;)

This is a term that we are using here on TUG (I'm not sure if it's official to Marriott?) in referencing a traditional timeshare week in the Marriott system -- it is backed by a Deed and used for a 7 day stay at a specific resort in a specific season.

With the introduction of the new Destination Club by Marriott, which is a points-based system, we've adopted the legacy week term to differentiate these deed-backed weeks that we've all had for years versus the points-based reservations.

I hope this is helpful?

Thanks!

Very helpful, thank you very much!

We are in the process of narrowing down our list of potential TS resales and this term was used....thought that was what it meant, but wanted to be extra sure. We are quickly learning that this decision is a tad more complicated than purchasing a pair of shoes!

Thank you!
