So, I goofed. I elected Club Points for most of my 2024 Vistana ownership (KOR, SVV Bella and some Flex) and then banked most of the Club Points to 2025, leaving enough for two trips this year. I have 1430 Club Points left after booking what I need, and I thought the deadline for banking was September 30. Sadly, it is not, it was August 31. So I am left with these points that must be used by December 31, or they are gone. What options do I have? I don't have any available time for more vacations right now.

(insert grumble about the confusing dates for doing this and that, and the other, depending on status, and whatnot)

You probably should ask this question on the Marriott Vacation Club/Abound forum.

Check out the attached document. It will give you all the possibilities. Certainly some options are better use of points than others. I have a video talking about the best and worst use of Club Points.

You have some options, although some of these options are not good value (meaning when you account for the MF you paid associated with the VOI you elected it’s an expensive way to use). Anyway, you can buy travel insurance, exchange for some airline miles, book a short trip and gift it to a friend or family member. You can also try and book a trip for that friend or family member and have them pay you. Try and rent those points out. You can also deposit them to II (you’d need to check quantity required for the unit size and TDI you prefer), and know that Club Points deposited to II can’t be used to book any MVC, Westin VC or Sheraton VC property, but they’re valid for 2 years From original expiration date.
