Even though we have owned for three years we are still very green on what we can do with our points. I know how to book my points but have no idea how to trade. We bought 2000 points at Surf club. I am hoping to get the last week of April for next year for us along with my daughter and family but fear by the time I can book, it will be gone. I am assuming we have to book on the exact date one year from the booking to try and get our desired dates.e either We either have to do Spring break (my daughter is also a teacher so its not like we can pull the kids out of school :( ) or summertime. We'd rather vacation when we have the cooler weather than to go when it is nice weather in summer. Any tips for me or suggestions on where we can learn more on how to trade if we ever need to? Hoping with the acquisition of Westin/Sheraton there will be more Carribean choices. We always take the grand kids and at 12 and 8 we like kid friendly resorts with lots to do around it. TIA
 
This link tells you when you can book points directly thru MVC. Yes - popular times book up very quickly. My husband, and both of my kids are teachers - its hard to get prime time vacations. Good luck.

Thank you Dean. Many schools on the east coast have the third week of April off. Luckily my daughter's is the last week.
Last time we went in April (years ago) it rained for 3 days!
