A new Lava Lava Beach Club Restaurant is supposed to be opening in Nov. 2015 on the beach behind the Coconut Marketplace just south of the Islander On the Beach. (original Lava Lava Beach Club is in Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island). Since the opening on Kauai has been delayed several months already, I was just curious if somebody currently on Kauai could give me an update?

The website http://lavalavabeachclub.com/kauai/ states: Opening in December 2015, at the newly renovated Kauai Shores Hotel in Kapa’a, Kauai
As it happens, we're staying two nights at that hotel prior to checking in at Kauai Beach Villas on 12/19.
We'll check it out and report.

We happened to jog by this morning. Slim beat out none. Construction is done except a few minor punch list items. A few staff members have begun setting up and stocking the restaurant which is not yet open. Opening is expected before new years eve. We were told to check their web site daily.
