Last points trade for 2011...
Had 300 soon to be orphan points for 2011. All the Cash Drains home for the holidays. Decided a 3 day (2 nite Getaway) to Orlando was in order. Tried to get a 2 nite stay 12/21-12/23 at Lakeshore or GV. Only 2 day openings was at Cypress Harbour. Here is where I got creative...
Wanted 3 bedrooms but no availability. Took a 2 bedroom 1 nite at GV 12/22 on points (200) Then booked 12/21 2 bedroom on the 45% Premier Plus discount. THey actually had 2 nites in a 2 bedroom but one night was lock off and the other non lock off (I would be forced to move).
I then took 1 nite in a 1 bedroom at GV 12/21 (125) points and combined it with a 1 bedroom 12/22 on the 45% discount.
It gets better, took the 20% off flex advantage for Premier within 14 days!!! For under 300 points and 2 nites on the 45% off discount, the cash drains have a 2 bedroom for 2 nites and Mr. and Mrs. Puck have 2 nites in a 1 bedroom...
Started planning 2013 ski trip.... Early Jan inventory is released at 13 months. Nothing at Park City yet ,but snagged 6 days in 3 bedroom at Tahoe Timber Lodge for 3900 pts... This is just a bird in hand as I plan on snagging some Park City inventory Jan?Feb. I was just assuring myself of something ski worthy!!!
I hope it starts snowing soon...upcoming ski trip 1/7/2011 3 2bedroom units in Park City... many of my partners going + 2 oldest cash drains!!!
