I tried searching different threads, but could not find any information on the difference between a 1BR vs. 1BR Deluxe and the various locations for these rooms. Is one type significantly different than another? Are there different buildings for each type? We are two adults looking for a room closer to the pool. Any recommendation as to which room type would be better for us?

Not sure about what the differences were, but I booked a studio deluxe and it was so nice I thought they made a mistake and gave us an upgrade. If you are using points as a couple, I suggest saving some and booking a studio deluxe.

Have you called the front desk? They have all the answers to those questions, more reliable than speculation here.
