We just came back from a week long stay at the Lake Tahoe Beach and Ski Club. We got this exchange through the HGVC RCI portal and had a 1BDR plus unit for the Presidents Week break. The location was great, very convenient for skiing.
Having a full kitchen was great as we hosted dinner at our place for friends that were up for the weekend. The gas BBQ grill on the beach had all of the tools inside the BBQ which was very handy for grilling. There is a Safeway nearby which made shopping convenient. We went to Off the Hook Sushi one night, they have happy hour pricing from 4:30 - 6:30 weeknights. The sushi was good and they had a few inventive rolls.
We had a room in Building 5 right next to the lake. We had a wonderful view and enjoyed the hot tub at night. Some younger kids even braved the heated pool. This building has not been refurbished yet. They are currently working on building 3. Very little noise could be heard the only noise during the day was the tractor bringing loads of trash to the dumpster.
cons:
The bathrooms have no windows so our towels never really dried so we had to hang them near the wall heater at night in order to get them fully dry.
The dishwasher is tiny and does not clean well. After the first night I did all the dishes by hand.
The mattress is firm, I observed new mattress' going into building #3.
Electronic Key card was picky and it would take up to 8 tries before our room door would open. Yet the key card reader on the main door downstairs always worked on the 1st or 2nd try.
