As I recall, Lagunamar opens in about a week. So who is the first person here to be going, and can they give a first-person report about the swim-up bar?

It would be hard to believe that it is ready to go next week?! Looks to me like another month of building that pool area, at the least.

I would be bummed if I was one of the first ones at the resort and the pool was still closed. I hope they have that all worked out...

Yes, I am not too picky about my swim up bars. Irronically the caption says that it was July 2008, however, when I was there June 14-21 the palapa was already on the top of the pool restaurant / bar.

We are visiting WLR November 7-14, January 4-18, and May 4-14 so I will get to try it out alot over the next year! Since it has a swim up bar, I will most likely start using all 740,500 SO every year at WLR.

So when is the resort scheduled to open? And what units/pools/amenities can one expect early on?

We're going in October and I'd hate to be looking at a big construction mess.

We may be the first from TUG... :p

Anyone will be there earlier than August 15th? We're reserved for August 15th - 22nd, but we have to leave a day early on 21st. Needless to say, I'm quite concerned with the construction delay. But, I'll withhold judgment until I get there to see in person! :wave:

If I get a chance, I'll be sure to update everyone on the resort and the construction progress...
