While it has been said to rescind my recent purchase at Laguna Mar by those on the TUG website, I see that the others who have purchased "out of network" are looking for, but will not find the same benefits available to those who purchased from a developer. It must be said that life is not always about the cost, and a deal is genuinely successful when both parties are happy.

For us, we are comfortable with what we have purchased. When we entered the timeshare arena it was because it worked better for us than a permanent second home.

The financial outlay, and the premium we were provided, is more than satisfactory for our travel needs and expectations. The prize for some is different than it for others.

What matters is first you understand what it is you want, and then secondly what it is you are buying; be it a permanent second home or fractional ownership.

Satisfaction and happiness are distinctly unique pursuits!

We have bought both resale and direct from the developer, including Lagunamar. Like all purchases, its a personal decision, just like buying a car. You can spend $10,000 and buy a Hyundai or Spend $70,000 on a Mercedes - They are both cars, both will get you to where you want to go. But the Hyundai is stripped down, and the Mercedes has all the bells and whistles.

Congrats! It sure will be nice to spend these Illinois winters in Cancun!:D

I think the flexibility you have with your unit is definitely enhanced by being able to trade for points especially if you only need a hotel room.

Go ILLINI!

I can certainly see why people would want to purchase Lagunamar from the developer as the ability to trade via SVN is a nice perk. If you're happy with your purchase, then I'm happy for you.
