Lagonita Owners, has your trade value dropped with II?

Can any Lagonita owners see if they have lost trade power in a search? I can't figure out if something has happened to our account value by accident. We were getting great trades, now seeing off-season studios and short outs. We have a 1 bed on lake, summer and Thanksgiving deposited. Thanks

It is possible that exchange companies update their internal analytical models based on supply and demand or historical factors or whatnot such that trading power is positively or negatively affected over time.

By chance, have you recently disposed of any timeshares and then called II to remove them from your account profile? Any other changes you have made to your II account recently?

This year (or mabe it was last year), someone posted on TUG that there had been some significant changes in I.I.'s TDI (trade demand index). The TDI is listed for various vacation destinations on I.I.'s website. There have been several significant changes or shifts in what weeks are more desirable than others and, it's affected which week we request when considering depositing for exchange.

It could be your resort still has the same trade power but, there's been a shift in what weeks are the most in demand and what weeks are lower in demand. If you're always booking the same week and expecting the same results, the shift in TDI could be the culprit in your lower exchange value.

I've also noticed that over the last few years or, since the economy went bust, things have changed as far as availability. I don't know if that's because of changes made within I.I. or, if it's because there are more deliquent accounts at timeshares making those week ineligable for exchange. I know that almost every resort we own has seen an increase in the bad debt expense as a line item for our MF's. The more owners that default or fall behind on paying MF's, the fewer resort weeks that are available to reserve or exchange.

Thanks

Thanks for the thoughts. We have a August week and a Thanksgiving week from last year deposited.
Thanksgiving used to pull very well.
