Here we are at the Chao Cancer Center so Cliff can have his three month check in with his doctor (two years cancer free and counting!). Why do two different people in the waiting room have dogs with them??!! One medium small dog is in a large enclosed stroller. So dog is not “out” but stroller takes up lots of room. Other little poodle-ish dog is sitting cuddled in a lap. I like dogs. But they have no reason to be in a medical waiting room!

Some people have no respect at all ~ not to mention common sense!!! How many people are allergic to cats/dogs??? How many "emotional support animals" have triggered asthma attacks/allergic reactions in the name of "I'm so cute"??? Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a trained service animal accompanying their owner, but the animals you describe I don't think fit this description. Entitled people think they can do whatever they want no matter what the consequences are to others. ~ Sorry ~ this is one of my pet peeves. Rant over.

On a lighter note ~ Good Luck to Cliff!!!! :cheer::hug Let us know the outcome.

I’m to allergic to some dogs and cats. Those individuals should have been asked to leave.

Those animals were not service animals.

Good Luck to Cliff.

I've seen two unleashed dogs at two different timeshares in just the past few weeks. They were also larger dogs. I see people with pets everywhere. It happens because businesses won't tell them no.

"Why do two different people in the waiting room have dogs with them?"

Becuz it would be weird for only one person to have two different dogs?

People are out of control with these dogs. Years ago you never saw anything like this anywhere. Now everyone treats them like they are children and entitled to bring them anywhere they go. Then they make up the service dog bs. Really pisses me off and I love dogs!

Best guess they are emotional support animals (not a true service animal/dog in other words). These types of animals seem to be increasingly common regardless of the locale. Doctor's visits can be stressful, especially if/when facing a possible cancer diagnosis or any other unwelcome outcome, so I'd imagine this type of thing will become more commonplace moving forward. Not saying I'm a fan of it. I love animals as well, but likely would never do what is being described here. We no longer have any household pets since we don't want anything impeding our empty nester travels and impromptu getaways these days.

Lighten up. As long as the pooches are well behaved and are clearly under the control of their humans, why not? Like 'em or not, but pet dogs are part of our daily interaction with the world. Now, if anyone in the waiting room had allergies and started coughing and/or asked that the dogs be removed, then the owners should have been sensitive to the needs/wishes of others. It may have been that these owners were simply stopping by for a quick visit, and it may have been too warm to leave the critters in a hot car.

Sorry, but I think animals in a medical office waiting room are just wrong. There are a lot of other places I think they are wrong as well, but medical offices definitely.
