Looked at the reviews and pics, wondering if this would be a suitable place for us, with a 3 year old. Or would the pelican be better. Right now I have the pelican booked, and la vista beach on hold.

We would have to pay $$$ to "upgrade" from our unit at the pelican to the Marina Residences 2 bedroom. The La Vista is a 2 bedroom already.

Ive been looking for other options, bc the pelican has been stringing me along and not telling me how much the upgrade fee is for months now.

I own at LaVista. I would take La Vista Beach over the pelican altho the marina residences are supposed to be very nice. La Vista beach is a small timeshare with beautiful views. While on the beach, it is not really a beach you can use, but Flamingo ia around the block. There is a small pool and La Vista, which you have access to, has a large pool. It is exceptionally well run. The people are nice and the smallness creates a nice atmosphere. The only thing I would give to the Pelican, is that the casino is next door if your three year old is a player
In my opinion this is a no brainer, take La Vista Beach

We also own at LaVista. There is just a small road from the LV parking lot to the Flamingo beach so no problem. We walk there every day and have used the beach as well. I'm not sure if you can rent the chairs or not if you are not staying at the Flamingo. You have to ask.

Another thing to consider about the Pelican is that there have been ongoing issues with the staff there. At one point the govenment got involved because of the dispute between staff and new managment. I don't know if it has been fully resolved.
