La Cabana Points

I’m looking to purchase a week at La Cabana between week 1-5. I’m not able to find anything for those weeks if I get points for weeks 1-52 will I be able to trade in for weeks 1-5? I I usually vacation the same time every year. Mary

There is no such thing as "La Cabana points" as this is a fixed week resort. You would need to purchase Bluegreen points with an underlying La Cabana week to get La Cabana preference for underlying week but since I only own La Cabana fixed weeks not really sure how bluegreen points work and they are no longer selling bluegreen points at La Cabana as the sales office was closed several years ago.

Two ways to get preference. A little known fact is your Bluegreen points are attached to a specific property, unit size, and week - or a combination. You will always be able to book this deeded time ahead of points owners - I believe at one year out. However, it is tricky to find one with the unit size and week you want. I have heard of owners doing that with BG at Big Cedar as it is tough to get in at peak season with points.
The other way is to own enough points with BG that you can gain preference on the waiting list. We did this and got in for President’s B-Day week. But for just one week you probably don’t need that many points.

As mentioned above, you can also search the timeshare sites for resales or put in a want ad.
