Kudos to Marriott OceanWatch

During my trip to Myrtle Beach (Aug 7 - 18) I stayed with my father, not the resort where have stayed x 3 previously.

Called the resort to ask if could spend the day there - sure they said, just show up. No charge.

Very surprised at this as I don't think my Spanish or HHI resorts would allow it.

Ended up spending two very enjoyable days there - each time managed pool loungers.

Very happy with Marriott.

Your SurfWatch ownership comes with Day Pass usage, too. The GM can restrict it based on occupancy levels but it's generally available for all days but the highest-demand summer holidays. It can be arranged through the front desk in advance or on the day of.

Thanks Sue. Spain also has day usage; my surprise was that I don't own at OceanWatch so thought it was very good of them to let my sister and I use the facilities free of charge. I'm sure they would have welcomed us for more days if we'd so desired.

Oh! That's my mistake, didn't realize OW let you have Day Use despite not being an owner there. That's a whole different animal and I agree, a surprise.

Considering it was during one of the most busiest periods of the year, very surprising indeed!
