I was SCAMMED by Krystal International Vacation Club, and I urge EVERYONE to avoid this company at all costs! Here’s my experience with their scam:

The personal sale presentation was full of LIES, AGRRESSIVE and missleading information. I was presented a timeshare package as an "investment opportunity" and "become business partner with Krystal Cancun", that promised me a 1-bedroom condo for 25 years and the opportunity to rent out my vacation weeks through Global Travel. They promised that the revenue from these rental are GUARANTEED because they, Krystal and Global Travel, works with corporates around the words for employee retreats, goft tournaments...etc... They guaranteed that the revenues will help pay off the $15,900 cost. I paid $5,959 upfront in good faith, expecting everything to be as promised. The remaining balance is $11,000 will be paid 5 years, with $260.18 monthly payment. They are very sneaky, they don't mention anything they verbally said in the contracts, just general languages and no guarantees of anything being written.

However, NOTHING has happened as promised! Global Travel was supposed to call me to arrange rental bookings, but that NEVER happened. I’ve made multiple inquiries to Krystal about this, but my calls and emails have been completely IGNORED. They have failed to provide ANY of the services they promised. I research online and there are many others people also got scaammed the same way.

They started charging me monthly payment $260.18 on February 1, 2025, but again, no services have been rendered. The entire process is a well-planned scam designed to take your money without delivering anything of value.

This entire transaction was deceptive and fraudulent. The promises made during the sale were misleading, and I truly believe I’ve been scammed. If you’re considering this timeshare, DO NOT DO IT. They will take your money and run, leaving you with NOTHING.

AVOID KRYSTAL INTERNATIONAL VACATION CLUB AT ALL COSTS! Don’t fall for their lies and empty promises. Protect yourself, your money, and your safety!!!!!

Hi @andrewZ
Welcome to TUG - Timeshare Users Group

Many of us bought from a developer salesperson -who was not entirely truthful. TUG members can give you suggestions on use.and options.

Since you are past the 5 day recision period you basically have 2 choices :
1) walk away / forfeit the $5959
2) keep paying & learn how to use.

A) The value [if it exists for you ] is in vacation use.
B )There is no resale value
C) if you choose to walk away - DO NOT PAY ANYONE to help -as you will be wasting money.
[ you can do this for free - there are threads in the TUG Mexican forum you may wish to read ]

Be careful in working with Cancun/Mexico if you decide to walk. You should never visit Mexico again. Does this group have a U.S. office you can contact?

I would first try to file a complaint with the Mexico Bureau which handles consumer complaints. I believe they are called Finseco?

I definitely never want to visit Mexico again...

is it in English? is it simple and easy to submit a complaint?
You may want to do a search of the Mexico Timesharing forum for that term and read what others have said about working with them.

To answer this question you need to read your contract and the loan agreement you signed.
Who is holding the loan and where are they located ?

Is the loan is through a US lender and do you live in the US ?

If your deposit of $ 5959 was done on an existing personal credit card it can't hurt to file a dispute of the charge with your credit card company.

Mmhh. A little bit drastic don't you think? I know what is currently in the news but that was not a simple stop payment on an RTU purchase.

Perhaps. Better safe than sorry. Others may have more risk tolerance than me

Some people never want to buy a Tesla again .[added / perhaps because the advertised range does not match the real world range in cold weather]
It is always best to read the fine print in any contractual purchase - and research what you are buying.

the loan is with Krystal in Mexico and I live in the US. i am disputing the $5959 with my bank now, it has been denied because i cancelled after 5 days periods, and i'm trying to appeal again. I'm ok loosing the up front cost, i just dont want to pay in more to the loan.

Is the only reason you purchased because you wanted to rent the weeks? Did you not buy in to be able to actually use the time you purchased? It would seem that it might still make financial sense if you actually use the timeshare for vacations? No?

If the loan is with Krystal / a Mexican lender - and you live in the US - then you may have different options than if the lender is located in the country in which you reside .
There is information in the TUG Mexican Forum you may wish to read.
***************
Please note : A lender with a past due loan regardless of it's origin can always attempt to collect.
The lender can also hire a collection agency for a percentage of the amount collected . The lender can also sell the debt to a 3rd party that will
attempt to collect . [ All of this means you may get annoying phone calls and / or mail ]

Please note : The ability of a Mexican lender to report a unpaid debt to a credit report agency in your country of residence and thereby affect your credit score
is a different question.

do you know anyone in thic forum has succesfully cancelled their contract with some sort of settlement?

What do you mean by "settlement"? Them paying you or you paying them?
Just a reminder, don't get scammed again by people agreeing to get some or all of your money back if you only pay "taxes", "fees", or some.made up levy. That will be the second scam and it happens quite a bit.
PSA: Note that the poster in the link above #19 cancelled within the stipulated cancellation period and was legally entitled to a refund of their money irrespective of the reason for cancellation. Since you are past your cancellation period, if you decide to dispute the charges already on your card, be ready to show that what you got is different from what is in the contract.

I meant , settle with some amount that i pay them to get out of the contract.

my main concern is the oustanding loan will be sent to collection and credit bureau by the payment processor in Miami.

I have not seen a timeshare outfit settle for less of a loan if they have the ability to collect more from you buy say suing you in the US. You should also understand that a payment processor is not the same as the entity that gave you the loan. That will usually be in the documents you have, take a look at it.
If the loan company is in the USA, then it may be reported to the credit bureaus and it will affect your credit. If a good credit is important to you at this point in time or in the next few years, then you might want to tread carefully.
