I remember a post from a couple months back saying work on the new tower and pool had slowed. Can anyone report how they are progressing?

We will be there in a couple of months and were hoping the new pool and waterslide would be open.

Thanks Dave...followed that thread for awhile but didn't catch that last post.

Anyone at Ko'olina recently want to post pics of the new tower and pool? I'll be able to do that myself in February if no-one beats me to the punch.

Last year I watched the Ladies LPGA event (Fields Open) from my Lanai...I guess that will be going on again.

I will be there this Sunday. Hopefully in the new 3rd tower (it opens Saturday). I will try to remember to take a few photos of the tower under construction.

We just checked in last night and did see a few lights on in the new tower so it is open. We also walked around the new pool. It is open but it was dark so couldn't see it too well. But still looks very nice. Will try my best to get some pics up.

Aloha,

We were just there ...

... Dec 5th-11th. The place looked great and the new tower, although look completed from the outside, it did not look 100% done within. When I asked, I was told the beginning of January. That is the tower to be though - it will have super amazing views even though where we stayed (2nd tower) was amazing.

We were there last week. Pool is open. Only half the building in planning to open. Very nice addition. Not sure what they are going to do with building 4.

Building 3? When is it planned to open the second half?
I have requested OV in Bldg 3 for my July stay.

We are in building 2 right now (Moana) and from our balcony, we can see whales spouting. Building 3 (Na'ia) ocean views are even better being closer to the ocean. According to the sales person, they are projecting to open the second half of building 3 in early 2010.

We checked out the pool at building three yesterday. The water was cold, but the kids had a great time playing in the waterfall caves and going down the slide. We warmed up under the hot waterfall that cascades into the jacuzzi.

Thanks for pictures of the new pool and hot tub/waterfall
Is this near the walkway and stairs under the arbor past the first building where you check in?

Will be there is Feb, love to see new additions since we bought before first building was completed. Are the new condos "next door" open yet - is the restuarant at these new condos available for us?

We are here now also.

The new pool area is near that car park turn around area where you first check in and to the left....right in front of the new Nai'a building which is open.

Nai'a isn't completely done yet as some of the lower levels aren't built out yet. No restaurant. There is a pool bar and towel hut open.

The slide is fast. All in the dark ( like a lava tube ) and only 1 person at a time. Height restriction is 48 in. But the kids can take a swim test and if they past they get a special band to allow them on the slide. My daughter is 5 and isn't tall enough but passed the swim test so she was happy.

The Koolina Beach Club condos are open but don't look very full at all. The Disney project is completely enclosed with green fencing.
