Ko' Olina: Early bird or relatively inexpensive dinner options or happy hours?

Hi, we successfully traded into Ko' Olina but only for a studio. So we will have very limited options to cook dinner in the room. Most of the dinner option threads I've found here and elsewhere are several years old.

Does anyone know of any restaurants in the area that offers early bird dining, happy hours or relatively inexpensive dinner options? We will have a car.

Thanks!

I'm not aware of any early bird dining specials, however, both Monkeypod and Roy's have Happy Hours. We don't do much cooking on vacation, but we buy steaks and salads at Costco for an easy dinner option.

Since you have a vehicle there are many affordable options (compared to resort prices) in the city of Kapolei.

What kind of food you looking for? There are many different ethnic and chain restaurants one off ramp away driving towards the Airport.

As Frank said, the shopping center where Costco is has a number of plate lunch and other local options. The prices would be more typical of a mainland restaurant, but still relatively more. Also, a great option is to get fish/scallops/shrimp or steak from Costco, and some local vegetables or other sides, and cook on the grills. Even a studio has dinnerware and limited cookware. You could have a few days of delicious steak/fish dinners for two, with wine, to eat at a table or lounge overlooking the sunset for under $100.

You didn't say when you are going. If not prime time, more than likely there will be opportunities to re-trade and upsize your unit inside 60 days.

If you’re a Costco member grab some of their ready to eat meals. We picked up sandwiches and their chicken taco meal. Lasted us for two meals.

Just clearing out backpack, you’re in luck!
We were there in October. Coming in, and then on the way out, we found Kalapawai Cafe and Deli, 711 Kamokila Blvd, Kapolei. Good grub, decent prices 🙂

Curry House Coco Ichibanya for Japanese curry was delicious. We also enjoyed longboards on the resort
