Key West Songwriters Festival - May 3-7, 2023

I researched this but could not get a feel for whether this will make the week I just reserved at Sunset Harbor a crazy one. Does anyone know what kind of crowds this festival brings?

All weeks in Key West are crazy ones. I wouldn’t worry too much because the resort is quiet and located in a quiet area, yet near all of the fun stuff.

There are numerous events/festivals that draw lots of people to KW throughout the year - Songwriters Festival is def one of them. However the crowds at Songwriters Festival are drawn to specific locations (Water Front Park amphitheater, select music venues/bars, and street concert on Duval) - so it is easy to avoid the crowds if you're so inclined. And ivywag is correct in that Sunset Harbor's location is ideal - far enough away from crowds, music and Duval that you don't hear a thing - yet close enough to only be a 5 minute walk to all of those locations.
