We're staying at Kauai Lagoons for 1 week early next summer. We have an ocean front room. From what I read here it seems like just about any room at Lagoons has a good view, but I'm still wondering if you have a preferred building or room for ocean views. Also, we'll probably use the pool a lot. Thanks for your suggestions.

No matter what an ocean front room will be awesome (but furthest away from the pool). I would request a high floor, but don't think you need to be overly concerned...

You will want to request a high floor. There are four floors. Depending on the unit size 3BR or 2BR, your choices may be more limited. Two of the 3BR OF units are whole ownership. In the OF, floors 1 through four are considered OF, I would think the views are better from two through four because of less landscaping vegetation blocking the view.

The resort is basically a few bldgs linked together on the ridge of a hill. one side faces the parking lot/ golf course/ ocean. the other side faces the pool/ bay all the rooms have a view but some have some landscaping / pool / other things which limit the view a little.

IMHO all the rooms have a view that is limited by the fact you're on a hill and not "on the ocean"

You really can't go wrong with this resort. If I had to do it again, I'd probably go with Island View, as you still get a beautiful view. Island View is the 1st and 2nd floors while Ocean View is the 3rd and 4th Floors. I believe Building A is considered Ocean Front.

I would choose Island View because I could stay there longer and still have a very nice view.
