Just saw on Facebook that go-koala.com is paying $17 per point for DVC points!

That is a much better deal for owners than David's Rentals, which is only paying $14.50, last time I checked.

To be fair, dvcrequest.com is David's rentals site.

I see DVC owners posting occasionally who are wanting to rent their points, and these two sites are just easy to rent because you don't have to do anything but add guest names and possibly Magical Express information. You don't have to advertise, you don't have to compete against people who are renting exchanges, and there is no reason to let your points expire without being used.

I just told one of Rick's firefighter friends (also retired and wife in assisted living currently) that he could rent his points this way. He called me today and asked if we could use his points for next year and the rest of this year. I told him about Koala and David's Rentals, so I am hoping he uses one of the services. I hope they can help him because he cannot possibly use their points and can probably use the money about now. Funny that he just bought 100 more points about 10 years ago and had free usage and was so excited to go, and now his wife is not well.

That is so sad about your friend. It reminds me that I really do need to start teaching my husband about how to navigate DVC. Our daughter who also owns leaves all of her planning up to me too. I have so much information inside my head and I am a terrible “explainer”. We have enjoyed our DVC since 1997 and have sold and purchased a number of contracts over the years.

I do keep excellent records and don’t depend on computer programs to keep track of vacations and points. I have a very simple method that works for me and helps me plan two or three years out. I do keep detailed notes too about each planned vacation and previous vacations and how points were used, borrowed or banked and why.

He could probably easily sell his contracts too. If he bought 10 years ago he would definitely make a profit.

I never have to worry about having to rent out points because they are always used.
