We went to our first timeshare tour on the 1st, Friday. We went with our prefabricated story but got suckered in anyways, my husband is a recruiter for the marine corps and thought he would want to get out of the corps to become a TS salesperson (without flat out lying to potential consumers).
Anyways, we ended up purchasing 120,000 annual points for whatever weeks we wanted (2 weeks plus bonus week) for $19,000.
As soon as we left there of course we did our research and found TUG and have already faxed and mailed in (certified mail with return receipt) our letter. I've found packages just like ours for as low as $5k but we think we want to rent first. Just wanted to share our experience and we are so glad we found this forum! Just saved thousands!

Keep eye on ebay and you will find it even cheaper than that.

Welk is a good program, but you did the right thing by rescinding. Do more research regarding their product as well as others keeping in mind how you would vacation, and then buy whatever fits your needs the best.

TUG is a great resource in performing your research. Do a lot of reading and asking questions.
