What is the protocol for renting my week at SDO? Do I just call Starwood and ask for a new confirmation to be issued in renter's name? Thanks.

This would have been a good question to ask before you rented it. ;)

What are the terms you and the renter have agreed upon?

Yes, you need to call Starwood with all your guest's info. and ask for a hard copy of the reservation be sent to them in their name. I also ask for an emailed copy to both myself and the renter.

They will pay 1/2 the rental fee now and the other 1/2 75 days prior to check-in. I also have a rental agreement I use. I have rented other TS that I have rented so I'm not totally a "Rental Virgin" :D
