Hi All,

After spending yet another summer holiday in Orlando (we go every year) myself and my fiancee have just purchased a prime week (1-52) in the lakes section of the Sheraton Vistana Resort (resale for $1) just had to pay for the transfer. But I do have a couple of questions;

How do I make reservations?
If I don't use it in 2016 can I carry the week over to 2017?
Which exchange site should I use? RCI or II?

Thanks in advance and sorry if these are total noob questions.

Welcome to TUG, so glad you were able to do your research before you bought and picked up a freebie resale from an existing owner! you are already well ahead of the game!

Going to move your post to the Starwood forum so you can get some specific answers from other sheraton owners!

How do I make reservations?

Hello and welcome to TUG.

Call the reservation line or book online at MyStarCentral.com. Since it's a voluntary resort, you can book the unit size that you purchased in prime season beginning 12 months out. As long as there's availability in your season, you can book. You can't book outside of your season, however.

If I don't use it in 2016 can I carry the week over to 2017?

No, but you can deposit entire weeks into II. You can't book or deposit partial weeks.

Which exchange site should I use? RCI or II?

I think SVR is II, but it might also be in RCI.

Note that if it is a lock-off, OP can book and use 1 side of it, and deposit the other side into II.
