Just came in from a walk

I live in Edmonton and although our winters can get mighty cold, today is a beautiful day. Snow lightly falling, no wind and I took my granddog and husband out for a walk in the neighborhood. All around the snow is like a soft blanket and it is very quiet since everyone is at work or at school. I have the day off and so I feel like I am playing a bit of hooky. Son # 2 has just called and is driving 3 hours to our house since he has 3 days off and wants some home cooking Other son lives a block away with his wife and dog and will probably visit later. Home made apple crisp with our own apples in the oven. Ice cream in the freezer. Now tell me does it get any better than this?
I am in love with my life and hope it never ends. One day at a time.

How lovely!

I am playing hooky today, too. It is my bonus son's birthday and I have been working on his birthday dinner. I am really excited because his bio mom has accepted my invitation to join us for the celebration. I invite her every year and this is the first year that she has accepted.

It has made me extremely happy.

I am on a five year plan. I would like for bio mom to be very comfortable with me/us because I see grandchildren in our future and I do not want the children and grandchildren torn apart by having to make choices. I want everyone to be able to be together and have a great time.

I am happy with my life, too!
