We just came home from a great visit to Hilton Head. As a previous poster mentioned we had rain for 2 1/2 days but we did our best to make the best of it. We walked around Savannah in the rain, had a massage, went shopping and went to the Coastal Museum. We love the island, the atmosphere of the island and we thought it was a great place for kids. They loved riding on the bikes and seeing Greg Russell and Shannon Tanner. The food was all good, really not a bad meal. As a result of the storm they had great waves to ride that were not there when we first arrived.

We really like Barony Beach. They tried to put us into the garden villas but we mentioned that even though we are exchangers we do own Marriott and they put us in the live oak building which was fine. The rooms are very nice, similar to Newport Coast with the exception of the shower. We toured Grande Ocean and it is nice...on a much bigger scale. Much larger with more pools. The location would have been more convenient than Barony. We seemed to have driven a lot up and down the main road and spent a lot of time in Sea Pines and the Coligy area. We love bike riding an stopping to see an alligator or two. We stopped at the Biltmore house in Asheville on the way down which was great as well.

So much thanks to Marty who know so much and with his help made it a wonderful vacation....we miss it there already!
