Just bought Westin Flex 61000 points at $24,156. Should I rescind?

Hello all experienced Tuggers,
I don't do this any more since my last mistake of buying something in Florida from a developer in 1994. But today I did. The incentive was 100,000 Starwood points and life gold membership at Marriott. The MF is $1300 a year.

Of course, as I left the presentation and signing the documents, I am having buyer's remorse.
Since I am still here in Avon (it was at Westin property in Avon) until Saturday, I could go personally and rescind. I'd like to hear from people who have Westin weeks.
Thank you so much!
Eunjung

Rescind. Absolutely. Be certain to follow the written instructions in your materials (telling the sales office doesn't count).

You can buy a Vistana (formerly Starwood) mandatory resort for a fraction of that price on the secondary market.

For example, there are some 67100 StarOption units at Westin Kierland (Scottsdale, AZ) listed for sale at about $5,500; the MF's there are $596. But that is a "for example" only. First: rescind. Then: research. And take your time; prices are not going up.

IMHO ..... If you have to ASK, you should RESCIND NOW.

$24,000 x .04 = $960 (ROI on spent money) yearly plus $1300 yearly MFs .... is a cost tomorrow of $2260 for a vacation ... for a 7 day vacation starting this year is $323 PER DAY ... plus food, travel costs, entertainment, rental car, sightseeing, trinkets.

I would rescind by mail, not in person. Follow the instructions exactly. That way you get a usps receipt, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.

Rescind by mail. Do NOT go in person. Do NOT answer their phone calls (unplug phone in unit).

Thank you for all your replies. I will rescind tomorrow morning immediately, by fax and by usps registered mail as mentioned in the contract.

Just to clarify - it's certified mail. Registered mail is for valuables - you just need proof of mailing and tracking.
