Question

I just became an owner by buying from developer. I am interested in buying more on Ebay. Will I be able to combine resale and direct buy? How does that work?

The point is always combined. However, it will not be able to used when they count toward the VIP satus. Not sure about new president resrvation, but probably will not count also.

What to buy?

Thank you so much for the reply.

Is it better to buy into newer, better location resorts or cheaper resorts? Because I was thinking the cheaper resorts might have cheaper maintence fee, and points are points anyways. Am I right?

IMHO, the biggest factor in buying Wyndham is the MFs. As you said points are points. But when buying at a older resort, you need to make sure your buying a week which is in FSP (the wyn point suystem) It only make sense to buy a non FSP week if you want to use that week at that resort almost all the time. (like for some hawaii owners)

GOOD LUCK

Thank you so much for the information.
What is IMHO? And do older resorts save you much on the maintence fees or MF's are more determined by the locations of the resorts?

IMHO is In My Humble Opinion

I'm not sure that older resorts will have lower MFs. That is something you'll have to look at for any resort you're thinking of buying.

I think it's better just to rent extra points. Why purchase more when you can just rent them for less than the cost of most maintenance fees?
This is something you may wish to look into also. Many people have said you can currently rent points from other owners at a rate much less than the MFs of owning your own points.

Look at Boca's web site about renting points.

Developer Point's

For what my two cent's is worth! I'll tell you, you should rescind now, it's always better to pay a penny a point resale than to pay 10 to 20 cent's retail I bought in june and knew I was being lied to,if I know I'm being lied to that's one thing but they tried to hide the fact's and I didn't like that so I rescinded the salepeople make about 40% commission off of you so they will tell you anything they will tell you that you can buy resale, then buy developer point's and they can roll all of it into vip if you have that many point's ,that is an example of what they try to do remember they are just used car salesman, you can buy 154,000 points just about anytime for a one time payment of say $1,000 were as you pay $20,000 from developer plus intrest you do the math I would Rescind before it's to late!!

OK I need to learn how to spell
