A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
There are some nice perks with membership levels but the happiest people are the people who bought a long time ago or stumbled into resale that 10+ years ago may have qualified for the levels. The lowest level probably requires $60,000+ purchase for maybe one or two last minute upgrades. The higher membership levels will require $100,000-$200,000 in purchases if you are starting out today and yes you might get one or two weeks of "free" shoulder season vacations at HICV resorts but you paid dearly for those perks.

Thanks for the advice. Please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly does the membership give you? I am mostly interested in being able to use RCI and maybe II for things like last call in addition to use points for stays. The sales people really try and sell you on the last call. They say they are great, but is that another lie from them? I have a feeling it is.

The membership levels get you things like free upgrades and stays depending on how many points you own.

But I have found RCI from my experiences a money pit. Always raising fees, fees are added on, last calls (like someone mentioned aren’t desireable), changing terms of service to benefit RCI more, etc.

Jahorta; It's highly likely you will be getting a phone call once they receive your certified letter. I strongly suggest that you not speak with them at all. They will attempt to put a lot of pressure on you to not rescind by sweetening the pot or adjusting the sale price.

Say "No Thanks" and be done with it!

Keep us all posted.

Also, you do not need RCI/II to go to a timeshare... you can come here! You can either exchange what you have for a suite someone has, or simply rent from an owner. The best deals are in the "Bargain" page. If you ask 45 days before you go, you will get a gorgeous resort for less than $100/night! My wife and I have rented Wyndham Ocean Walk suites every so often from users, one time it became an "auction", where two users kept bidding lower than the other! In the end, we snagged a 3-bedroom ocean view suite for $70/night. That was so good, we had a couple family friends join us!

UPDATE:

Many many thank all of you. I finally saw my refund for the deposit - 50 bucks they seem to have charged me for the dumb book they gave us. I did not know I had to return, but at any rate 50 bucks is well worth not having to pay 20k instead. So I guess this means I successfully cancelled! Yay!

I am now going to educate myself on the different timeshares and their pros and cons. I also have been looking at the rental section I think I will try that first as well.

I got a few missed calls from the Florida area, but not sure if it was regular spam or HICV calls. No VM was left thought

Nice! Well I will keep an eye on those. We really dont have any particular place I want to go, but we are open to going anywhere new, so this is awesome may find good deals(probably not as good as you did though).
