Hello Madge and I apologize in advance if you have answered this before, but I'm getting more obsessive when it comes to holiday planning than I was before.
In September 2006, we exchanged into the GM Riviera Maya for February 2008, using a California week, thus taking advantage of the waiver of 1 in 5 rule for Mayan Palace, and Grand Mayan exchanges if booked before September 30 last year.
In October 2006 we became Mayan Palace (not GM) owners. Knowing that the exchanges under that waiver program indicated that MP owners needed to use a deposited MP unit for the exchange, are we likely to be denied accommodations when we show up because we are now owners?? Logic would tell me No, and I am prepared to take our MP owners' papers showing the date the ownership was registered, but I'm a little concerned that logic has no bearing in some situations..
What is your opinion please or should I be addressing this to the MP reservations department?
TIA
