Joan and Ron, the timeshare legends

We never had the opportunity to meet Joan and Ron, but enjoyed reading their articles and blog. With deepest sympathy.

Definitely a timeshare Legend. Happy Trails Ron.

Oh thank you so much everyone. I don't need to tell how great timesharing was for all of us on this TUG website. TUG was so helpful to me when we first started and everyone was always so friendly and helpful throughout.
I will let you know that Ron passed like all of us want to, with no pain and then just breathed his last breath quietly. I had actually spent that last day at his side, even though he was not responsive, still talked to him ( they say the hearing is the last to go) and played our grandchildren's music videos for him.
He had been on Hospice since January 2025, one of the longest ones they had had here, since he declined so very slowly and of course, Hospice is and was wonderful for us.
Thank you again everyone for your condolences.
And Happy Traveling!

Oh Joan, thanks for sharing with us both your travels and your husbands final journey.
May peace be with you at this time.

I've so enjoyed reading about your lifestyle as I know others have too.
Wish I could do it too, but I'm not a minimalist. LOL.

Hi @ronandjoan
Mon May 18 - 8:30 am

Thank you Joan for your post early this morning. I saw it about 6:30 am and it inspired me to spend the the last two hours reading your wonderful blog.

Posts about tuba and band music - posts about having an east coast & west coast vehicle- posts about your
Springfield Illinois storage unit - posts about 2 mile walks with Ron- posts about visiting military & air museums-
posts about visiting TUGGERS in your travels and posts about Puerto Vallarta.
- and many more .

All a wonderful history & story with many pictures of Family - Friends & Timeshares

I'm not a minimalist either - we had a van STUFFED with stuff to make everything look "homey"

Joan, I am so sorry about your loss. Condolences and blessings to you.

My condolences to Joan and her family. I enjoyed meeting them a few times in Puerto Vallarta when they stayed at Mayan Palace next door to Club Regina. They sure enjoyed their travel adventures. Rest in peace Ron.

Joan, family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss

My condolences Joan. I will always remember meeting up with you and Ron at the Daytona airport and talking timeshare. I'm happy to hear his passing was peaceful and you were able to be with him. Much love and prayers.

So sorry for Ron’s passing. I also loved Joan’s posts and learned so much about exchanging and traveling when we decided to “snowbird in timeshares” years ago.
Joan and I corresponded several times and she was a delight and so helpful.
May God bless her with all the beautiful memories of her sweet times traveling with dear Ron!

Joan so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in your many years of travel.and memories with Ron. He is in good hands.

So sorry to hear this. We met Joan and Ron as they were just starting their travel adventures. I think we were in Puerto Vallarta and met at a restaurant in Bucerias. I loved following their adventures.
