Jazz Fest 2012 question

I have a question for anyone experienced with Jazz Fest... I'm especially interested in going to the Springsteen concert on Sunday night. What's the best way to buy tickets? Is there enough quantity available or should I purchase quickly? Should I get the weekend pass? (I do enjoy some of the other singers performing that weekend).

I don't have a clue how it all works... help!

Of all the "Jazz Fests" held around the world, I assume you mean this year's New Orleans Jazz Fest? Springsteen is scheduled Sunday April 29.

This helps some, but still raises some questions. If I only get the one day pass for $45 (early bird rate), will I have to get there very early to see anything? I really need some experienced Jazz Festers to chime in.

There is no additional fee.

I found a great web forum that has all the answers. We're going to buy a one day pass for $45 pp and enjoy it that way. We plan on buying some chairs with umbrellas on the top and get there early.
