It's the end of the year. Time for the biannual ritual of raising the cost for entry into the theme parks. Busch Gardens/Sea World has just announced their increase. Wont be long until Disney and Universal raise theirs, just to keep up of course.

BG Tampa now $69.95
SW Orlando now $74.95

Disney already raised theirs a few months ago. Hopefully they won't raise it now when we're in a depression and the hotels are already crying that occupancy is way down.

Occupancy may be down, but the parks are still crowded, so much for a depression

Perhaps depression means having to wait 1 hour or more for a 3 minute ride

We just returned from Disney. I would say that many of the visitors during Xmas were foreigners. I heard so many languages being spoken while we there. Folk were spending money in all the parks like there was no tomorrow. Even though the US is in trouble, I would venture to say that the parks did pretty well during Xmas with so many people visiting from outside of the US.
