It can't be RCI's website... what am I doing wrong?-- trying to book a 7500 week.

I click on the Available weeks. Then I choose the date. It shows a checkout date that is one day away from the checkin date and prices it at about 4000 points. When I try to adjust the check-out date to make it a 7 day trip, it won't let me. The only thing you can book is a 1 day trip.
When I try to book in the higher point range-- a month out, I get 7 nights right away and full price.

(As an aside... I have not looked for last minute weeks in a long time, the 9K's. What happened?)

The new booking windows show you all available dates. However, that does not mean that you can book a full week from every available date. If it is only showing the one day, that's all you can book. It's hit and miss on how many days you can actually book.

You can set the number of days you want the system to search/filter by clicking on the side <7 days, 7 days or >7 days. If you do the 7 days, all the short stays disappear.

What resort are you searching? You can only get the 7500 deals on strictly weeks resorts. If even one little sales weasel sells RCI points then they spoil it forever. Those 7500 deals go away. My guess is that since you are being offered only one night then it's an RCI points resort. :ponder:

I think some of the points resorts that had the red ticket in weeks were available at 7500 in points. I think they are really trying to clear out some ones that they marked down to 5's (not sure about the summer 10's).

I'll get back on and double check I noticed it a few days ago but wasn't looking too hard.

Checked:
Foxrun,SC and Kingsgate,VA are both resorts that know have points charts. They both have 7500 week exchanges for weeks in early April. When I click on the Foxrun April 6 it shows w/ the little red ticket.

So basically, if the resort signs on to become part of the RCI Points "family", they will no longer offer 7.5K weeks with them. And, the single day offerings are coming from the Points inventory where they only have an aberrant day to offer.
It really doesn't make sense that RCI doesn't discount the Points weeks at the last minute.

Of course, there were weeks that I saw that cost 7.5K, but I couldn't locate a 7 day period where 7.5K was available. Maybe I hit a glitch?

Can you sell RCI points contract while keeping booked vacation?

I have an exchange booked thru RCI points. If I sold/transferred my deed before the actual vacation, would that become an issue? Could the RCI points account sit there until it expires, even if the resort is no longer attached to it?
