All,
I haven't historically tried to book WKORV or WKORN reservations with StarOptions because I have been fortunate to be at Maui Ocean Club. I purchased StarOptions primarily to be able to access WPORV, HRA and WSJ and have had excellent success getting June reservations at WPORV and April reservations at HRA. I've not tried to get WSJ but I track it (and know it's not simple).
Like all of us, at this point I have a mismash of timeshare weeks/points with different expiration dates and I'm looking for good ways to utilize them. I want to go to Maui in 2021 and so I started to track WKORV availability. I'm now holding a 10 day reservation at WKORV in January (7 days in a 2BR followed by 3 days in a 1BR) and 5 days in February -- 4 nights in a 2BR followed by 1 night in a 1BR -- all same property). The February reservation is adjacent to my planned Ko Olina trip across Presidents Week, so this would (theoretically) become a 12 night trip.
I'm just surprised that this was all available, and none of it was booked right at the 8 month mark (I just made the February reservation today).
Is this normal? Or is this COVID uncertainty? This is really impressive availability and I would be happy to use the StarOptions for these reservations -- frankly I can't think of a better usage?
Please advise and thank you!
Greg
