Is this a sound strategy for trading?

I am in the process of closing my FXR week 31 and should have my II account set up within the next 4 weeks or so. Being new to trading, I wanted to make sure that the strategy I am considering is sound to try and get the trades that I want.

Assuming I get an AC to bank my 2012 week, I was going to use that AC to book someplace in Williamsburgh for week 35 (late August and TPI for that week is only 100).

I was then going to immediately put in an ongoing request for someplace in Sedona for July or August of 2013.

If I am trying to maximize my chances to get exchanges that I want is this a sound strategy or would you do something different?

Thanks in advance.
Mike

I don't think you'll have any problem getting either trade, assuming that Williamsburg will be on your AC grid (if you get an AC) - I don't have one at the moment so can't check to see if that's the case. But there is currently tons of availability in Williamsburg online with II that week. (It will be HOT!).

It's a bit early for deposits into Sedona for next summer - most people deposit into II quite a bit later than into RCI, so you should be fine with an ongoing request.

The grid that I got for my week 25 FXR deposited last December does not include Williamsburg in June, July, or August. September 1 is available. If it takes 4 weeks to set up your account it may be too late for an AC this year. If you get one summer should open up during flexchange 59 days out and you may still be able to find something for late August. Once your exchange for 2013 matches you can also check if an XYZ would be available for late August.
