My boyfriend and I purchased a Montecristo by Pueblo Bonito in July 2007. We love the place, however things have drastically changed in our lives and we need to get rid of it ASAP. I feel like we have done everything with no luck. I don't expect to make any money, I just don't want to be any further in the hole. Anybody have any suggestions?

Do you owe anything on it, or back fees, etc? Read the sticky on selling and do NOT pay anyone an upfront fee to sell it for you. Listing it on ebay may work for you . Good luck.

Based on your purchase date, you may still have a hefty balance remaining.. If so, you may have a difficult time in the current market. Resales look like they have dropped from the $60's to the $40's for this fractional over the past six months..
PM me if you want a referral to an agent that sells these routinely. He can at least give you a good idea of the current value if you have to sell quickly.. I'd also recommend you look at other options if possible and try to give the market some time to rebound.

Post it on eBay and place the starting bid at the amount which equals to what you currently owe. With any luck you may get some bids and you'll be rid of it very quickly.
If you're not in a hurry to sell then try posting it on TUG, MyResortNetwork, Redweek, etc.
Be patient and be reasonable with your pricing. And hope the stock market doesn't go down any further!

You could also try to seel with the buyer taking over payments, but the resort, or whoever financed your purchase would have to agree with the arrangement. It may or may not be easier to sell this way - if you can find a buyer who would need financing, it could work well for both of you.
