Is there a market for points?

We have put our [timeshares] up for sale due to a lifestyle change. In the meantime, we have a full year's worth of unused points from 2012 and a full year's worth of 2011 points that have just been converted to RCI points. Is there value in these points to others and if so, is there a good method to sell them?

Thanks for the advice. How does the transaction actually occur? Once someone agrees to buy our RCI points, for example, do I book their stay as my guest or is there another way to go about it?

RCI points are sold by RCI for $0.02 a pt and can be found on ebay for $0.01 a pt. but I have found several people just give them away too.

From what I've learned in my short time here, you can sell them to someone via PayPal and then call RCI and transfer your points to that person's account. Seems pretty straightforward.

I called RCI and they confirm what you say...straightforward...with my name and member number and the name and member number fo the second party...they make the transfer...no fuss, no muss and no fee, if you can believe that

But those points in the bank, may be what gives your timeshare value...Im not sure Id strip the points from my week, if I wanted to sell it....

Right, if you're looking to sell the deed, keep the points as incentive. The timeshares are hard enough to sell. A fresh restocking of points could help a lot.
