Is there a good source to read reviews of other resorts. Both HGVC and RCI resorts? Not sure if this forum has a good set of reviews I can read or if I should just google/tripadvisor them all.

Thanks
Taitai

There are wonderful reviews here on TUG, but you have to be a member to access them.

Just did a bit more playing around on the site and think I found them. The red bar at the top? I need to pay $15 to get those? I am happy to pay if you all think the reviews are solid.

Thanks

They are as solid as TUGgers make them. We write 'em. And by writing them and keeping them current, we extend our memberships. So if you travel a lot, your membership can be free.

Along with reviews, members get access to 'sightings and distressed'. Other TUGgers post rare and scarce resorts they come across while looking through various postings. Sometimes these things only last minutes.

Every TUG member will tell you that membership was the best money they ever spent on vacations.

Be sure to also check out tripadvisor. They usually have a lot of user pictures of the resorts

I prefer the reviews on TUG to the reviews on TripAdvisor (although those are useful too) because TUGgers don't have an agenda -- sometimes I think it's just the competitor that is posting on TripAdvisor whereas TUGgers are a pretty balanced group.

It's well worth the $15....

agreed. but all reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. I'm quite disappointed in the pictures posted for the TUG reviews. I usually find 100s on tripadvisor.
