Is RCI the source for all vacation rental weeks

With the proliferation of vacation rental weeks I wonder what percentage of these units belong to the resorts. In a lot of cities vacation rentals are listed along with hotel units.

Where do all those vacation rental units on Hotels.com, Expedia & Travelocity come from? All that can't be RCI. Can It?

They may be from the resorts directly. The resorts may have rental programs or may be renting units that have not been sold.

The massive sources of rentals are RCI, and to a lesser extent but now also in the game II. Here and there, a developer in sales may offer some weeks, or even less likely an HOA, but it is unlikely that they would be through the RCI or II sites.

Some of the sites have obvious earmarks of RCI. You can also tell the RCI sites because they sent you a standard RCI confirmation when you rent through them.
