If one doesn't know what OY means, it is Over Yonder. A term used to describe another timeshare forum that had much more traffic than it had recently. I won't necessarily name it, but those that know will know what I am referring to.

I tried to go there just now and it seems to redirect to a suspended page link and nothing loads. The last time I looked, there was like zero activity happening. It seems that it has finally died?

It’s been inactive for a long time, I think because it was getting expensive to run. There is a Facebook page with the same name that isn’t very active, but gets posts once in awhile.

Most of timeshare forums activity, aka oy, is on facebook. The website has been slowly going extinct with many members just getting too old or passing on. It was a really fine group of people and a site that I like.

Many online groups that I had enjoyed have disappeared. Tug is the longest running online site I belong to but will face challenges as the members age.

Good riddance to them. Some of the main moderators were a-holes with zero morals and integrity. There's a reason people stopped using that useless site.

In a word: they traded porn over there.

I doubt that very much.

I did wonder why your name popped up many times through out the years. I always said you were OK in my book to those that had complaints. I'm saying the same for those oy. They are good people what ever your beef is.

A number of long-term, reputable Tuggers told me about this so your doubt is wrong.

You do realize that many here were members there and did enjoy the website. Your comments are what kills an online forum.

Yup, I was surprised every month that I logged in to see what's going on. It's kind of sad to see it go if that's what happened, imo. I think Tug is the main online anonymous timeshare forum left. Many younger users are on the Facebook resort group pages. I know Tug and Timeshare Forums are in FB but I never really see either pop up too often. I did get a kick out of your youtube channel that randomly popped up one day. You are earning your spot, lol.

IDK what OY is, but I will say FB is supposedly aging out too. All the cool people are/were on TikTok or maybe Discord now. IDK I never was on FB, and I basically left reddit after the 3rd party app blocks, so I much prefer topic specific forums anyway. I will say that I tended to find the most informed people on the topic specific forums like TUG. I think to some extent having to find the forum is a bit of a bar for the most low effort people...

While "aging out" can be a problem for legacy online forums, I must say that I've seen a lot more people and action on TUG now than any time in the pat 18 years I've been on the site. Timeshare groups on Facebook have a purpose. I find them better for resort specific information. Though TUG is good for that too. TUG is more about getting into the weeds of the different systems. I find that in many Facebook groups, there are more casual users of the system and their knowledge isn't as precise. Also too many "I think" posts where people are just guessing at an answer to provide an answer.

According to Denise you are now implicated in the trading of porn!

We should leave her out of this. Her beefs are her own and we all have them.

I am going to respect TUGBrian's request and stand down, but I stand behind my post.

This is great to hear! I hope TUG stays vibrant for another 18 years! So many travel perspectives and help not just for Timeshares here.
