First of all, thanks to the great community of experts here for all your great info.
We have been looking for our first resale timeshare, and 3 days ago we pulled the trigger. A EOY platinum week at Ko Olina off eBay for $7775.
Today we received word that ROFR has been been waived. 2 days after submission.
Looks like dioxide's site is down, otherwise I would have also put it there. Now it remains to be seen how quickly Marriott will recognize the ownership transfer.
So far so good.

See. Should have bid $5000. The next sale will set THAT "record" for a few days. The prices are only going down. Buying now can be a deal compared to a year ago, but may look way too high in another month or two.

I'm happy they got what they feel is a deal and as long as it's for their use and not a chance at profit (which sure isn't likely anymore) they should be very happy owners of a great resort. Enjoy.

It's called Mountain view. 2 Bedroom, 2 bath. Sleeps 8. Majority of units are this way.

Ko 'Olina on Ebay - what is the "Penthouse?"

Never heard the "Penthouse" mentioned before....The Penthouse Suite guarantees you the top 3 floors and they have vaulted ceilings. The floor plan is the same but these units look much bigger and nicer.

EOY, even starting in 2010. Currently at $3,701 (get 15% back with eBay Credit Card).

I'll have to watch this one!
